wow. how long has it been? just a few weeks ago i wore to myself i would update daily. but now look, i have abandoned my dear blog for more than a week.
anyways, moving on.
after i took the IQ test earlier, i have actually thought of forming a club that can only consist of people who have an IQ of 130 or above. sadly, one IQ test is insufficient to determine all aspects of intelligence.
however, i still tried to spread the basic idea around. the club will have weekly meetings consisting of only one activity. each member must create a puzzle / riddle / cipher and make copies for other members to solve. sounds nice eh?
my basic idea is to stimulate brain cells on a weekly basis. sadly, not many agreed with the idea of the club.

i think i took an IQ test about a year (or two years) ago. i don't know how the topic suddenly came up between me and a friend but he later gave me a link to a site to test my IQ.

4chan
a little more than a week ago, i discovered 4chan, the largest image board there is. you can imagine my delight as i condensed my blood with anime wallpapers but the worse has yet to come.
you see ladies and gentlemen, when you find something new, you tend to have an extended interest in it. eventually i tried the other links and fell in love with regular and creepy wallpapers as well. not only that, but they also happen to have funny pictures as well.
i could almost feel my soul being lifted into a higher realm, a form of nirvana if you may. its as if i have found a legal way to take drugs.
however, everything has its price to pay. images take up space. i was actually surprised to find out how much space i have in wallpapers alone. and this is only a week. i shudder to think what will happen if i continue on this image spree.

Fear & Phobia
fear is to be afraid. phobia is to be extremely afraid. yet why do we have phobias? why is it that we fear? some people say that they are born with it. but we are only born with two phobias which are fear of loud noises and fear of falling. even these fears can be easily overcome.
lets say you are afraid of bugs. granted some bugs are poisonous and you may use this to argue your case. but even so, why would you be afraid? sure it may be poisonous but shouldn't you be more cautious instead of afraid?
there are two basic ways to stop your phobias. either keep confronting it until you are not afraid, or think about something else when you are facing it.
but lets use our brains for a moment. lets think, why would we be afraid in the first place? when you think about it rationally, there is no reason to be afraid of anything. spontaneous things don't occur and everything is bound by the laws of physics.
you won't sink into the bed if you sleep without the lights. you won't get chocked to death just because you are in a small room. you won't die if you touch a cockroach (though you may still find it disgusting).

now then, a little side note.
if you are afraid of something because of a myth you heard, confirm it. don't believe everything you read on the internet.
suddenly you don't what to drink coke because it can dissolve meat in a day? please. unless you actually tried those stupid chain mails to prove this, you will still drink it without fear.
bloody mary? come on people. i tried it and my eyes are both still intact.
if you can't prove it, disprove it. if you can't disprove it, then it probably isn't worth fearing.
if you are afraid of something because of a bad experience, then guess what, we learn of experience. we make mistakes and learn from it. there is no point hiding and running away.

we fear because of irrational reasons. press the pause button and think about all your fear and ask yourself why. there probably isn't a good reason. its alright to be cautious. its alright to run away when the odds are not on your side. but there is absolutely no point in being afraid of anything.
P.S. being shocked or surprised is not being afraid. if someone suddenly pokes you you are merely shocked. a natural reaction to avoid potential danger.

Touhou 6, 7, and 11 (Trial)
ever hear of the game Touhou? the link gives plenty info but its basically a shooting game. which i suck at.
alright, i'm not exactly a fan of shooter type games in the first place but this games has really nice graphics, which is what attracted me first.it also doesn't eat too much of your disc space and seems to function well without lagging on the average computer.
alright. let's start with [TH06 東方紅魔郷 ～ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.].
this is the loading screen:
there are a few modes to play in. easy, normal, hard and lunatic. although i suck, i still decided to play normal. this is what i got:
say what? only 24.65% completed? no kidding..
then i took the liberty to play in lunatic to see how good i was:
9.92%. great. just great.
i know i suck and i know it says lunatic. but i was heavily attacked!
but of course, the best part is how i die. i think being a newb in these category of games makes me vulnerable for this type of "sudden burst".

alright. moving on, there is [TH07 東方妖々夢 ～ Perfect Cherry Blossom.].

Proof Anime Girls are Aliens
you know when you watch anime, the girls (and guys) are usually out of proportion? this is because they are aliens! what other proof do you need? just think about it. how can they cram their intestines in such a small space? this might just proof that aliens are making animes based on their own anatomy..
if they were aliens, they might have either smaller intestines or no intestines at all! this clearly proves that anime characters are all aliens.

AIDS is God's Love
ladies and gentlemen, we all know the horrors of having AIDS. nobody wants it. and even with the advancement of science, we are still unable to find a cure.
when i say God, i do not refer to any religion. i simply refer to it as an incomprehensible form of power. as in the one who created the first thing in the first place. for those who do not believe in religion and believe only in science, you should not disagree when i say everything has to come from somewhere. i use the term God to simplify this matter so please try to keep an open mind.
regardless of religion and race, do you not think that AIDS is a form of miracle? after all, it is because of this fear that people even bothered to look at safety seriously. its like saying that if there is no punishment, it is okay to slack off. but now there is punishment. now there is AIDS. of course some are simply born with it so they don't have a choice. but do you not think that this is something to open our eyes?
when you think about it, the disease may be the one thing that forces us to be aware of our emotions and the emotions of those around us as well. it triggers empathy in us when it affects our loved ones or our friends. it opens our eyes to how bad things can be in life.
humans. we are meant to live together in harmony. we are as if ants, working hard to store food and stay out of harms way. but there are those who like to be alone. like a lone tiger in the forest. and there are also those who like to turn against themselves, causing hate and chaos. this still occurs in this world.
if you do not want to believe in a greater power being the cause of this, then why not we look upon man himself? there are those that can live together. but it is because of those who do not, they cause trouble. they may fear its consequence but they always find a way around it. the bigger the problem created, the harder to find a solution. until at one point, the consequence cannot be undone. there is no cure for AIDS. and this has forced mankind to think before they further hurt themselves and others.
forced to face the ugliness of our own soul and given a chance to reflect upon it. or born with such a curse but lets you understand the heart of another who is the same. is this not mankind's greatest gift? is this not the sign of God's Love?

Coffee
cans of coffee X2 + red bull (both the silver & red) = stay awake the whole night.
this cannot be good for health right? i even had lack of sleep the night before.

what happens when you drink a concoction that has a large tablespoon of indocafe and double the amount of sugar? for me, i get a stomach ache. but combined with what i had above, i think i just shortened my lifespan. i'll probably die of kidney failure.

let's face it, given a chance, everybody wants to find their soul mate. but the thing is, if you are with a person now, is that person really the one?
the world is a broken place where many cannot be trusted. we fall in and out of love. and sometimes, when we find someone that clicks incredibly well, we think he/she is the one. this, of course, is very possible. but there is also a possibility the person is a fraud and a total arse.
is there really a way to know if they are for real?
ladies and gentlemen, if you read many chain mails that tell you how, then what takes away the possibility that these frauds are getting their information from there as well?
we never really know who to trust in this planet. we can only truly love and trust ourselves. because when we put our lives into the hands of our lover, we are filled with doubt.
so the million dollar question is, can you live your life with your partner without a trace of doubt and without an inkling of fear that they may leave you?
to love and be loved is the greatest thing that has been bestowed upon us.
we search eternally for a happy ending that only exist when we let it. but with so much hate and doubt in the wold, not many have found such a thing.
our partners in life are only flesh and bone. can you love them beyond that? can you see pass the illusion of the flesh and truly see whats in their minds? can you truly love them for who they are and not only their bodies? true love is but a rare beauty many have failed to find.

friendship is like a diamond. its beautiful. its sparkle can blind others. it can cut through any trouble. but like diamonds, friendship requires time and effort. but for something beautiful that can last forever, one must agree it is worth it.
so what have i learned today? i learned that i actually have such friends.

The Ultimate Answer
the answer to life, the universe, and everything else, is perception.
as simple as that. in fact, its so simple, it's almost self explanatory.
we see, feel, touch and so on. but all of which depends on our perception to see it as it is. for example, pain. with a strong will of mind, one can surely ignore this sensation. this depends on your perception. if one simply does not perceive pain as pain, instead, perceive it as nothing, then one can ignore it.
get it? no? let's try another example.
chair. something we sit on. usually paired with a table so we can do more things, like eat, or homework. chair. just one word. but if i perceive a chair as a table, what would i get? a table! assuming of course that i sit on the floor or a shorter chair.

Random Bits of Shyte
hello everybody. i'm alive. i know, its very surprising. the fact that my work hasn't already annoyed me to death is amazing. anyways...
my results for SPM are considered average. but here's the thing, i only studied about 2 months before the exam. all the other times since form 4 to form 5, i was mostly half listening.
so put it this way, if i could study only 2 months and got average results, what do you think you will get if you start studying NOW? i'm not promoting the fact that little studies can give average results. but i suffered a lot in those 2 months. in fact, there were many days that i didn't sleep because i was studying for the exam on the next day.
of course studying technique actually needs to be considered although i don't use them myself. but, SQ3R IS a very effective. yes i know you still hate PDL but this is something that you should force yourself to do.
technique combined with consistency and you WILL get good results even if you start studying NOW!
[blah blah blah... i dunwanna hear this...]
yes i know you don't. so lets move on.
things that happened in my life include:
-my father got me a 4GB thumbdrive. so in lurve with it now.
-i am so distant with the computer that i feel like i lost a limb
-itachi is dead. damn that idiot.
-erm.. that's it.

life has been a bit uneventful for me lately. very robotic lifestyle.

but just to annoy you Amanda, i'm here to say that life revolves around additional mathematics. yes, it does. from something as complex as a surgery and building building, to a simple task as writing. (yes writing requires add-maths but we don't see it because we already learn to use it comfortably without actually thinking.)
in fact, walking requires add-maths. open your eyes and look around. our brains are so powerful that it has already done all the maths for us without having to learn it.
but our brain are only capable of doing so in terms of trial and error. in other words, no Amanda, you can't expect to pass without exercise

due to my lack of brain activity in my work, i got bored and decided to memorize pi. yes, the pi to calculate circle related stuff. not to eat.
yes, it is the 3.1415......
in 4 days, i memorized 100 decimal places of pi. then i memorized up to 120 decimal places and i kind of lost the will to continue memorizing.
anyways, this is how much i can pull from my head now:

one of the most phenomenal thing i found on youtube is that someone can actually get more than a million views doing absolutely nothing. but you gotta admit, her eyes are huge. this eye-face ratio makes everyone want to watch her videos over and over again.
do you get it yet? this is how looks alone can subdue a majority of society and we see this unfairness occurring almost everyday in our lives.
see what i mean? but i actually manage to find one that actually contains actions but remains pointless nonetheless.
anyways, the whole point of this post is to update (of course), which i have been too busy to do for some time. but more importantly, it is to inform all of you the dangers of youtube. in fact, youtube should be sued for allowing the posting of videos that practically break my ribs. a simple warning label would suffice.

good morning blog readers! yes, i am typing this on a monday morning. so if anyone who reads is still going to primary or secondary school, i know you want to snap my neck.
anyways, its been a long time since i updated on either a personal post or an 'intelligent' post. all of which for a reason of course. none the less, this post is about what had happened in the huge time gap of blog posts.
lets start with what i have done. i watched Sweetney Todd! oh yeah! best movie i watched so far this year. damn nice. feels as good as cleaning my old keyboard. blood! BLOOD! yes!!
i have also noticed that a large number of my friends have interconnected relationship issues. none of which i plan to elaborate.
and although its late, i got myself a job a week after valentines day. now i work in Mid-Valley. as if that wasn't the worse part, my actual job is to sell tickets in Golden Screen Cinemas. non-stop selling on weekends and endless queues are driving me nuts. and the best part, i got my salary last saturday for about 5 days of work. anyway, this is why i haven't been updating recently. i have to work six days a week and off days are not allowed on weekends, fridays, and wednesdays. but i'm surviving. got two ulcers now because of lack of sleep and fluids. sure feels nice to sleep 10 hours on my off day.
lets see what else i have done.
i have stayed away from the computer for almost a week! i feel so glad to be facing it now.
all in all, i guess i'm as busy as being in school now. only its six times a week. i promise an 'intelligent' post by next week.

hello my blog readers. as most of you may (or may not) notice, my blog has not been updated in a while. even on weekends! however, i am pleased to announce that i am still alive and blogging.
as i recall, my last post was last Friday. so in this little post, i will recap on the last few days.
Saturday - i slothed the whole day away, doing almost nothing. i think whoever that controls fate was pretty pissed because i woke up on the middle of that night when my leg felt like it was attacked by mites or something. scratched until the itch stopped. which was not a good idea.
Sunday - woke up by seven and reach the driving school by seven thirty. it was supposed to start by eight but the guy is always not there on time. reached home by three. slept by eleven plus plus.
Monday - woke up even earlier because my littleannoying brat siblings had school. so i had to wait even longer for a late driving teacher. reach home by five thirty. slept by ten plus.
Tuesday (today) - woke up early but there was a traffic jam. but i reached the driving school by seven twenty once again. one of the students were late and we had to wait until eight forty beforethe asshole he arrived. when i finally reach the driving academy where the exam was held, i was nervous till i couldn't eat until the exam was over. not to mention i had to have lunch by four. but still, fear is a good substitute for hunger. reach home by five. now it's six. the end.

How to Download Youtube Videos
this post is for Jasmine
alright. so, you want to download videos from youtube and you have no idea how? well, i'm about to tell you the easiest way for me to do it with this simple tutorial.
first thing first. use firefox. you don't want to use internet explorer for this as it is inconvenient. once you had firefox or already have it, you have to download an extension called unplug.
click to enlarge image. go to it's website (number one). then navigate to the download area and download it (number 2). when all download is completed, you will need to restart firefox. if all is done correctly, you will see a fish icon (number three).

lets say you are in youtube and you like this video. just click on the fish!
of course, it ain't that simple. you have to choose the right link to save. usually, you need to save the link that has the same name as shown in the address. but if you are on youtube, as long as the ending of the link is gibberish, then that's it. you can ignore the rest.

alright. so, you want to download videos from youtube and you have no idea how? well, i'm about to tell you the easiest way for me to do it with this simple tutorial.
first thing first. use firefox. you don't want to use internet explorer for this as it is inconvenient. once you had firefox or already have it, you have to download an extension called unplug.
click to enlarge image. go to it's website (number one). then navigate to the download area and download it (number 2). when all download is completed, you will need to restart firefox. if all is done correctly, you will see a fish icon (number three).----------------------------------------
example:
lets say you are in youtube and you like this video. just click on the fish!
of course, it ain't that simple. you have to choose the right link to save. usually, you need to save the link that has the same name as shown in the address. but if you are on youtube, as long as the ending of the link is gibberish, then that's it. you can ignore the rest.

Corks and Chairs
looking through my things, i found two corks i kept from long ago. it reminded me off the good old days when i would cut it up into tiny pieces and burn them. anyway, here they are:
remember the metal things that come on top of the corks? its something that stop the cork from popping on it's own. inspired by an episode of a show i have forgotten, i modified the metal things into tiny chairs. my first attempt was on the far left. about a year after that, a got another metal thing and had a much better second trial. the third on the right was the least fragile:
not bad yes? no? here's a closer look on each:
so maybe now all of you will not neglect the other portions of a wine bottle anymore ya?

Voice Out
when was the last time you wanted something but was too afraid to ask? when was the last time that your fear held you back and you missed a chance of possibly getting what you want?
when the back of our minds hold us back, we miss many opportunities in life. lets disregard whether the actions you are about to take are positive or negative. had you actually taken the action in the first place?
lets say you want to eat fast food for dinner. but your parents do not usually do so. you are held back by this fact and decided not to ask because it is a lost cause. but what if you did? what if you just voiced out and said what was on your mind? what if you just asked? you parents might just agree, saying they haven't have fast food in a long time. the worse that can happen is that they disagree.
but here is an example Not to voice out. lets say you saw a bunch of bullies bullying a kid. if you voiced out to tell them to stop, you may as well end up as their next victim.
needless to say, it is important to voice out. but it is also important to know when to do so. voicing out at the wrong situations can be very damaging. in any situation, always remember, if you have nothing to lose, voice out.

Chinese New Year 2008
a little late to wish everyone a happy chinese new year i guess but at least this post shows that i'm still alive.
first three days of CNY was spent in Melacca where my grandparents were (father's side). drowned in boredom, i decided to start ransacking things in my grandparents house to see what can i take a picture of. i finally found a mechanical watch that is powered by winding. the watched belonged to my grandfather, easily making older than myself. however, i was shocked to see that it worked when i wound it up! but when i checked the time the next day, it seems it has sped up about 5 minutes. the old age of the watch must have affected its efficiency.
anyway, here is a look at it.
of course, you might not actually see the brand name from here cause i can't seem to take a clear shot at it. but i finally managed to take a picture of its winder from the side where it also has its name imprinted on it. (you may want to click on the image to make it load its original size)
besides this mechanical wound up watch, i decided to also take a picture of the wound up clock my grandfather had that was hung on the wall and used until today.
not bad eh?
the next three days were spent in kedah in my other grandparents house (mother's side). the only picture i managed to take there was of a 5 cent coin. however, the picture was not easy to take. my camera phone could only have about a 2 inch macro mode. with the help of two and a half magnifying glass, i managed to take a much larger picture of the coin without losing clarity.
time for a random picture. here is my little sister's teddy bear trying to drive us home from melacca.
cute yes? no? anyway, this reminds me of valentine. at least my friends are having a gathering so i won't be lonely as i thought. but still my heart is blue. haha.. an early happy valentine's day for everyone.

Supermagnet
a super magnet, or otherwise known as a neodymium magnet, is a very strong magnet that is composed of neodymium, iron, and boron. anyway, i'm not going to bore you with the scientific facts.
i bought 40 of these magnets last year that are in the shape of spheres. i believe there are graded N35 which makes them an average super magnet. in more than one occasion they had nipped my skin but i still like it as it is.

in this arrangement, all the super magnetic waves interconnect to form it into a combined 'bar' of super magnet:
you can keep turning and it will never end:
so what is so special here? it seems evident that a super magnet is stronger than a regular magnet but just how strong is it? according to wiki, it could lift off about 1300 times its original weight. just to give you a feel on how big my magnets are first:
as you can see, that is a one sen coin and two of my super magnets. 1300 times its own mass still sounds like a brag initially but after i tested it, i was surprised:
if you click on the image you can see the magnet as a shiny thing between the pole and the metal objects. the hammer, chisels were as heavy as the 3 spanner combined so no cheating here. mind you, the attempt to take this picture caused these tools to drop on the floor several times.
so i thought:'if one super magnet could lift these things, then if i take 20 and split them 5 each i could lift 8 times the weight. so i put everything (and a little more) into a metal toolbox and did this:
there is actually 8 'strings' of super magnets but 1 is being blocked from sight. when i did this, i thought that the toolbox was in the verge of dropping. but when i was taking it down, i still needed to apply some force. 1300 times its own mass indeed.
so why are such powerful magnets created anyway? well, they are used in many items around us such as in a hard disk and sometimes even in hand phones.
of course, the final conclusion of the post is that something small can still pack a punch.
