the answer to life, the universe, and everything else, is perception.
as simple as that. in fact, its so simple, it's almost self explanatory.
we see, feel, touch and so on. but all of which depends on our perception to see it as it is. for example, pain. with a strong will of mind, one can surely ignore this sensation. this depends on your perception. if one simply does not perceive pain as pain, instead, perceive it as nothing, then one can ignore it.
get it? no? let's try another example.
chair. something we sit on. usually paired with a table so we can do more things, like eat, or homework. chair. just one word. but if i perceive a chair as a table, what would i get? a table! assuming of course that i sit on the floor or a shorter chair.

the answer to life is perception. friends, jobs, assignments, kids, and so on. there are always times when these things begin to be difficult to stand. but as long as we perceive to be something that we can handle, then why not? its not the easiest thing to make a hard thing easy, but if we perceive it to be so, it is only a matter of time before we find a way to achieve it in that fashion.
the answer to the universe is perception. planets, stars, moons, and so on. if one is to really think about it, we are but less than a microscopic dot in the map of the universe. and yet, we exist. is it irrational to perceive that everything outside of our galaxy has absolutely no effect on us? but, this is a sensitive topic among astronomers, hence, i shall ignore.
but what about a star? a star is simply a sun very far from earth, we merely perceive it as a star. is it wrong to perceive our sun as a gigantic star? in the end, its just the matter of which point of view you are seeing the things outside our planet.
the answer to everything else is perception. difficult decisions, debt, yes or no, life or death, and so on. we are constantly surrounded by difficult choices. in contrast, we are also surrounded by easy choices as well. but when we think about the choices we should make, it is not uncommon to be panicking. should i have done this? should i have married him? so many questions, so little time. but in the end, we can say that the answer is anything you perceive it to be. you might have a different answer as me in many questions but even so, why shouldn't that answer be correct?
---------------------------------------------------------
perception. a magical word.
to me, a closed room may mean a sense of security. to you, a closed room may mean evil secrets. why not? that could be it after all.
by the end of the day, it is perception that purely defines us. the thing that makes us so different. the thing that has single handedly caused war and brought peace. the reason why we are different, is because of this same reason.
